Nutrition is more than having "balanced" meals.  When was the last time you went to your doctor and asked to have a complete blood workup.  That could be a starting point.

Eating right is the first step in good nutrition.  You need to make note of what you do eat.  If you're eating too many breads and potatoes, are you getting enough calcium?  Women especially need to be concerned about getting enough calcium.  Get a bone density test done.  That will let you know if you are on the road to osteoporosis or whether you already have it.  Your doctor will certainly let you know and most likely have you take calcium supplements.

Magnesium needs to be taken with calcium.  After your blood work, you need to ask your doctor how much you should be taking.

Magnesium is good for relaxing muscles in your body.  It's best to take it in the evening.  You can get Calcium-Magnesium tablets.  Your blood work and your doctor will let you know what ratio of the two you should take.  There is 1 to 1, and 2 (calcium) to 1 magnesium.

Trace minerals are small, yet important minerals we need to have in our bodies.  Are you getting any?  Enough?  One of the easily ways of getting trace minerals included in your diet is to use sea salt with trace minerals.  There are a lot of other items on the market that include trace minerals in them, those would be a good way to get those little minerals we need.  They are small minerals, but very powerful.

Anti-oxidants are important.  There are many ways you can get anti-oxidants into your body.  The most powerful anti-oxidant is Co-Q10.  Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant.  So is vitamin c.  There are a slew of anti-oxidants on the market.

We will be doing some research on anti-oxidants.  If you have a specific question you'd like answer, email your question to us.
